I was once a student who struggled. I had no additional resources to assist me in my academic and mental efforts. My errors continued to follow me. My parents abandoned me at some point. However, this changed when I met a mentor who changed my perspective around. After the mentor realized that I could recognize my potential, he started preparing me for college. His encouragement pushed me to push harder, and I was admitted to college. This was a turning point in my life. However, the journey did not stop there. I realized that I needed to help other students. These are bright students who need to be guided as they prepare for college. Many American students are not attending. This is where Technoprep comes in. I and my mentor, who is currently my colleague, and other teacher friends ensure that we place as many students as possible to colleges that will help them secure a brighter life for themselves. With the commitment, we will not only support the students academically. Also, we will be there to hear and understand them, and we will be there to see them succeed. My daily joy comes when these students succeed. As a team, we are doing it with love and compassion. Every child is capable. Only one person can make them reach their potential and make them realize that they can go beyond the pandemic.
